For in depth information on Eric Theodore Cartman click here
Cartman is one of the lead characters in the Southpark Cartoon series. Cartman and Southpark are equivalent in the eyes of the Great Eejit to the poems, koans, parables etc of the Great Fools from the past. Trey Parker and Matt Stone the writers of South Park are without doubt modern day Great Fools They occupy a strange, throne in contemporary culture. Emerging from Colorado in the late 1990s armed with fantastic adolescent humour, and an almost total disregard for any Establishment sacred cow. They have created many side - spliting moments.
Where the classical court jester held a mirror to the king, Parker and Stone hold a mirror to the entire global village. They operate as arsonists—puncturing the moral posing of the cultural Right with the same vigour they use to gut the self-congratulatory piety of the cultural Left. Examples below.
